Shipping Policy

Shipping Policy Our store cart is set up to calculate shipping according to weight with handling through the postal service. Upon checkout you will be given different shipping options. Unfortunately I do not have 100% control over what options the system offers. It takes a Best-Guess based on the weight of the order and it is not always correct in the options it offers (ie. Giving the option of a flat rate envelope for items that can not fit in an envelope). Michigan Egg Connection reserved the right to revise and re-send invoices with corrected shipping when an improper method is chosen. We are not obligated to charge you the amount that you choose as the options are out of our control. Please note these guidelines when choosing a shipping option: Priority Shipping: - This is our preferred method of shipping. - Any order containing any Pre-Cut Eggs, Ready to Decorate Eggs, or Decorated Eggs may ONLY be shipped priority. This reduces time in transit and minimizes possibility of damage. First Class Shipping: - Please be aware that only envelopes and small, lightweight packages can be shipped First Class. - Any order that has this option selected that can not go First Class, will have to be corrected and the difference may need to be covered. Flat Rate Envelopes: -Upon checkout you may be given the option for a flat rate envelope. Please keep in mind what you are ordering and do not select envelope if you are purchasing an item that will not fit. The error will have to be corrected and the difference covered if necessary. Insurance: NOTE that insurance is included on our Pre-Cut Eggs, Ready to Decorate Eggs, and decorated eggs. This will cover an entire order of any items with any one of these mentioned items included in the order. - Orders for just supplies do not have shipping insurance included. - Insurance is not offered at checkout, but may be purchased PRIOR to checkout by selecting Shipping Insurance on the left navigation of our store and adding it to your cart as an item itself. International Shipping: We do offer international shipping. The cart will calculate international shipping, but I am finding that it offers all of the options for international shipping and not all are appropriate for every order. Same as above it will offer a flat rate envelope for an order that will not fit in an envelope, so please be aware that your invoice may need to be changed prior to payment if we have to rework the shipping charge.
