Michigan Egg Art Guild
The Michigan Egg Art Guild was formed for the purpose of educating, raising the quality and stimulating interest in the art of decorating eggs.
Our guild meets once a month on the second Saturday of each month, from Sept through May. We do not meet during the summer. Our membership dues are $25.00 per year. This fee pays for a monthly newsletter a portion of projects that we do each month, and rental of our meeting room.
At the meetings we exchange tips and hints. We try to have a project of some sort each month. We encourage members to bring in completed eggs to show and sometimes selected eggs are showcased in the newsletter.
We are a very informal group. We have assigned months where a member is in charge of bringing in the snack for the group. For the first half hour we have casual conversation with our snack (member bring their own beverages). At 10:00 AM, the meeting is called to order by the president and we take care of any business. We discuss the eggs our members have brought in to show and talk about hints, tips and new products. Once that is done we do a project and we are usually done by around 12:30.
Our meeting place is in Madison Heights, Michigan at the Fairlane Bowling Alley on Stephenson Hwy., just north of 12 Mile Rd. They have a very nice meeting room.
If you are interested in joining our group or just stopping in once as a guest to see what we are about, please contact Melissa Hibberd (Vice President) or by e-mail.
